Meet Joel

Joel Webb lives in Port Huron, MI where he works both as the on-staff Worship Leader and Discipleship Director at Blue Water Free Methodist Church, and as the Director of Operations for Spero Pregnancy Center. He is currently attending Northeastern Seminary pursuing his Masters in Theological Studies (MTS) as part of his ordination track in the Free Methodist Church.

Joel grew up in a pastor's home in south-eastern Ontario where even from an early age he felt a call to being in the ministry. After a couple hidden wayward years just after high school, he found himself in Cameroon, West Africa on the mission field for a year. It was there that God miraculously pulled Joel back towards his calling. After coming back to the US and studying at a small ministerial school in Western New York, he settled in Michigan with family to work and serve at a local church.

Moving on from there a few years later, Joel became a part of the community in Port Huron where he now resides with his wife Marissa. As part of his pursuit of the pastoral call, he also produces and hosts a podcast called The Pastor's Call Podcast, which explores what the pastoral call looks like from many different parts of the wider Church.

Joel has a deep love for the study of theology and history. His desire is for believers to encounter God in both worship and in the study of Scripture. While there seems to be great polarization in much of the Church and the world, he seeks to not just remain grounded firmly in classic Christian orthodoxy, but to also have a posture of love that would impact people for the Kingdom of God.
